Lenny's Sub Shop Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Memphis, TN – Lenny’s Franchisor, LLC, franchisor of Lenny’s Sub Shops, proudly celebrates its 10th anniversary this month. Founded in 1998, Lenny’s Sub Shop has stayed true to the original values that make it a first-class concept – More Food, More Taste, More Personality!TM Founders Len and Sheila Moore opened the original Lenny’s Sub Shop in a suburb of Memphis ten years ago with two goals in mind – to create an authentic Philadelphia-style sub shop reminiscent of their early East Coast days and finance their daughter’s college education.

“The vision a decade ago was about creating a restaurant with quality food and positive guest experiences,” said Moore, who has plans to open 90 Lenny’s Sub Shops throughout Houston, TX as an area developer. “To now have more than 170 restaurants across the country and 75 franchisees who share my original vision is truly outstanding.” He currently resides in Houston and also runs a successful franchise consulting company.

George Alvord, CEO of Lenny’s Franchisor, LLC, purchased the company in August 2004 with a group of Memphis investors. Since that time, the franchise group is continuing to experience rapid growth that includes restaurants open and in development in 21 states. Earlier this year Lenny’s Sub Shop was named in the Top 200 franchises in the annual Franchise 500 listing published by Entrepreneur magazine. The brand was also named in the top 100 fastest growing franchises by Entrepreneur magazine.
